The Capital Defence Aerospace and Security Network (CDAS Network) brings together industry leaders, higher education institutions, investors, and professional service partners to accelerate the growth and competitiveness of the defence aerospace and security sectors in the National Capital Region in support of the region’s Defence Innovation strategy.
Working through a national “hub-andspoke” network, CDAS connects innovation, investment, and talent across Canada. Resources include access to AREA X.O operated by Invest Ottawa for live testing and demonstrations of technology and products, the uOttawa Cyber Range for simulating cyber attacks and response, plus the combined AI capabilities and facilities of Carleton University and uOttawa.
The Network also links innovations that are ready for commercialization with investors and prime defence contractors, as well as sources of funding, to more rapidly advance innovations to market. Much of this is led by seasoned entrepreneurs with a track record of significant accomplishments in the industry on a global scale.
